Oquirrh String Quartet is a string ensemble based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Comprised of classically trained musicians with a passion for the music we play, we are dedicated to consistently delivering a high level of musicianship and artistry. We love providing that distinctive, inviting ambiance that only live string quartet performances can create. Founded in 2010, Oquirrh String Quartet has become a trusted name among wedding planners and event coordinators throughout Salt Lake City, Park City, and the surrounding area.

About Us

Our musicians have studied music theory and performance at the Manhattan School of Music, Brigham Young University, and Utah State University. We regularly perform in professional and community ensembles, including Ballet West, Pioneer Theatre Company, American West Symphony, and recording studios such as LA East. We are also dedicated music educators at institutions like The Gifted Music School, The Waterford School, and in private studios. We find joy in giving back to our community and hope to instill a passion for music in the next generation.

Events

Our repertoire includes music suitable for wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate functions, anniversary celebrations, and other momentous events. Our performance list spans classical to modern and everything in between. We welcome special musical requests given enough time to secure sheet music and prepare for the performance.

Location

Oquirrh String Quartet is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We perform for events in locations throughout Utah, from the most intimate backyard setting to the top of the vast Wasatch mountains. There may be a travel charge for events outside of the Salt Lake Valley.
